In 2004, the JCAHO passed a standard that staff, students and volunteers who work in the same capacity as staff who provide care, treatment and services obtain criminal background checks when required by law and regulation and organization policy.

2. How Long Does It Take To Process The Background Check? VerifyStudents.com can process the check in as little as 3 business days; however, due to the investigative nature of the check that involves individuals accessing court records nationwide, extra time may have to be allotted. Also, some healthcare facilities may require additional information in their background check that may require more time to verify, so a uniform turnaround time for all individuals cannot be quoted.

3. How Will I Know When My Background Check Is Done? You will be contacted by an authorized individual from your school that you are attending.

4. Can I Get A Copy Of My Background Check Report? Yes, there are several ways: a) Check the appropriate box on the disclosure form during the online application process; b) Contact the staff or faculty member involved with your clinical rotation placement from your school; c) Contact Corporate Screening Services directly.

6. What Information will I need to start my Online Background Check? You will need a special promotional code from your school to begin the background check process. This code identifies the school and clinical rotation placement program you are in so we can direct background results to the correct department or faculty member.

7. Can I send my background report to multiple hospitals? Yes, your background result can be shared and are portable to multiple clinical partners! Students can provide clinical and/or hospital administrators with user IDs and pass codes to review background check results directly from VerifyStudents.com, thus keeping the integrity of any findings and ensuring compliance and security concerns. Please note that your school must elect to use this feature of our system for it to be available to you. Please contact your program administrator if it is not available.

8. Does it cost more to share my background check results with multiple hospitals? No.
